Travel Summary to Date

We spent five days traveling from home in Marysville to St. Louis.  Among the highlights along the way, were 1) a tour of the battlefield of Custer's last stand near the Little Big Horn River, 20 miles south of Hardin, MT; 2) a visit to the Mt. Rushmore National Park;  and 3) a tour through the Badlands of South Dakota – in our experience a stunningly beautiful place.
We arrived here in Webster Groves (a suburb of St. Louis), where Becky, Scott and their two boys Wes and Owen live.  For those of you who don’t know, Becky is Deanne’s daughter.
Sunday, we attended worship service at the church nearby, where Becky serves as Assistant Pastor.  In the afternoon, we all drove to Scott’s Air Force Base, across the Mississippi River in Illinois, where the Blue Angels were scheduled to perform.  What a fantastic show they put on!
Today, Scott and Bill did a wallboard project in the house and some routine bicycle maintenance.  Later, Deanne, Becky, Owen and Bill rented a pedal boat at Forest Park and toured around a lake which is called “The Great Basin”.
It seems as though we have been pretty busy, but I believe we have struck a pretty good balance with quiet time and time for reflection.  Hopefully I will succeed in attaching a few pictures.
